History
Following his education, Mr. Carpenter served as a federal law clerk from 1983-1985 and then as an Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1985-1989. Following service as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Mr. Carpenter joined the labor firm of Thompson and Hutson in Greenville, South Carolina and practiced with the firm until 1994, when he founded the Carpenter Law Firm. In 2005, two of Mr. Carpenter's cases before the South Carolina Supreme Court were selected as case of the month.
